The weather forecast for June 9, 2025, in the Primorye Region of Russia, which includes Vladivostok, Ussuriysk, and Nakhodka, is predicting a stormy and potentially severe day. The European Storm Forecast Experiment (ESTOFEX) has issued a Level 3 (highest) storm risk for parts of Russia, starting from 09:00 UTC on June 9, through 06:00 UTC on June 10.

This warning signifies the possibility of severe convective storms capable of producing strong tornadoes, very large hail, and damaging winds. The storm threat is particularly high, with a deepening frontal wave moving through the region, causing thunderstorms to develop along both warm and cold fronts.

The atmospheric conditions near the surface will be extremely unstable, with strong wind shear that favours the development of rotating supercell thunderstorms, known for producing tornadoes and large hailstones. As a result, the cities of Vladivostok, Ussuriysk, and Nakhodka may face the risk of experiencing these dangerous weather phenomena on June 9.

Temperatures in Primorye are expected to range from +14°C to +29°C, with variable cloudiness in all three cities. The wind in Vladivostok will be moderate to strong southerly or southeasterly, while in Ussuriysk and Nakhodka, the wind will be moderate southerly. The wind in Primorye may gust up to strong during thunderstorms.

The water temperatures in Amursky Bay, Nakhodka Bay, and Posyet Bay will be +17°C, +13°C, and +18°C, respectively. Meanwhile, morning fog is expected in Primorye.

Short-lived rain showers are also possible in the region, adding to the stormy conditions. Given the high level of storm threat, residents and visitors in these areas are advised to prepare for potentially severe thunderstorms with tornadoes, large hail, and destructive winds on June 9, 2025.
