Vietnam’s OpenAI-Powered Social Innovation Takes Center Stage at TECHFEST 2025
Vietnam is advancing with openai-driven social innovation as a core element of its development strategy. The approach targets significant challenges such as inequality and climate change through collaboration between startups, large firms, and communities. A recent event at TECHFEST 2025 assembled leaders from various sectors to fortify this burgeoning ecosystem.
The Social Open Innovation Community, launched during TECHFEST 2025, centers on accelerating the adoption of new technologies across Vietnam. Openai-based innovation has emerged as a cornerstone of the country’s plans, helping bridge economic growth with social wellbeing. Nevertheless, Vietnam continues to grapple with structural obstacles, including the middle-income trap and escalating environmental pressures.
The event brought together business leaders, policymakers, and innovators to cultivate a more open and inclusive system. Experts underscored that robust communication is crucial when startups partner with large companies in these collaborations. A resilient and sustainable innovation ecosystem, they concurred, should rest on five pillars: innovation, openness, connectivity, inclusion, and lift-off.
One model already in practice is the SOAR framework, introduced by MSD - United Way Vietnam, which assesses social impact across four key areas. Another contributor, the Shinhan Group, began championing social security open innovation in Vietnam in 2021 through its Shinhan Square Bridge initiative under the Hope Foundation of Shinhan Financial Group.
The push for social security open innovation in Vietnam mirrors a broader endeavor to address complex problems through teamwork. By linking startups, corporations, and communities, the country aspires to generate enduring solutions for both economic and social advancement. The next steps hinge on how effectively these partnerships can scale and adapt to local needs.
