Event Delay and New Date

Heavy rain and rising waters caused by Storm Wutip have made it impossible to hold the Miss Vietnam 2024 finale as originally planned on June 14. The event has been moved to June 26, 2025, retaining its outdoor venue in the historic city of Hue despite the initial concerns[2].

Organizers initially considered switching the venue to an indoor setting. However, after careful consideration, they decided to keep the event outdoors to maintain the competition's special atmosphere and symbolic connection to the imperial city[2].

Preparations and Challenges

The Miss Vietnam 2024 finale is set to take place near the picturesque Huong River, with an elaborate outdoor stage adorned with ironwood planks, LED lighting, and court-style decorative motifs inspired by Hue’s heritage[1][5]. Hundreds of tons of equipment and a 6,000-seat grandstand have been assembled for the occasion[1][5].

However, Storm Wutip’s heavy rains and rising water levels posed risks to the stage and equipment, necessitating the relocation of materials to higher ground with the assistance of military and police personnel[5]. Contestants have been given time to rest, recover, and continue practicing to ensure they are in tip-top shape for the rescheduled event[2].

All ticket holders will retain their rights for the rescheduled event[1].
