Freshening Up Economic Ties: Agri-Machinery at the Forefront

Sài Gô̂n - Several recent developments suggest a drive to beef up economic ties between Việt Nam and Venezuela. One of the key events was the Vietnam-Venezuela Business Forum, where businesses from both nations exchanged info on market potential and demand, highlighting their commitment to bolstering bilateral trade[1].

A Promising Partnership

One sector ripe for collaboration is agricultural machinery. During the forum, a memorandum of understanding was inked between Oswaldo Hernandez, Chairman of the Venezuela – Việt Nam Chamber of Commerce (CAVENVIET), and Nguyên Khác Hoàng, General Director of Hoàng Gia Việt International Food JSC[1]. The agreement aims to promote and distribute Vietnamese agri-machinery in Venezuela and the broader Latin American market.

Potential Opportunities Galore

  • Rich Soil for Agriculture: Venezuela can offer 100,000 hectares of arable land to Vietnamese enterprises[2], opening doors for mutually beneficial agricultural ventures.
  • Expanding Trade: The overseas Vietnamese community is making waves in promoting Vietnamese products worldwide, including innovative farm produce and exotic spices. Leveraging this influence could open up new trade avenues in Latin America[3].
