Vietnam dazzles at 2026 Macau Parade with vibrant cultural showcase
Vietnam took centre stage at the 2026 Macau International Parade on March 29. The event, themed Maritime Silk Road as a bridge for cultural exchange, saw the Vietnamese delegation lead the procession as one of the opening groups. Their performance showcased traditions from across the country's northern, central, and southern regions. The Vietnamese Overseas Association in Macau organised the delegation's participation. Their act, Spring Festival Drum, combined music, choreography, and striking visuals. The performance carried wishes for prosperity and good weather, reflecting deep-rooted cultural values.
Around 1,600 performers from 50 local groups and 10 international delegations joined the parade. Vietnam's inclusion highlighted the event's focus on cultural connectivity and shared understanding between nations.
The parade offered a platform for Vietnam to present its heritage to a global audience. As part of the opening procession, the delegation set the tone for an event celebrating diversity and exchange. The performance reinforced ties between Vietnam and Macau through cultural diplomacy.
