Việt Nam Happy Fest unites tradition and joy in Hà Nội’s heart
Hà Nội hosted the Việt Nam Happy Fest from December 5 to 7, 2025, around the iconic Hoàn Kiếm Lake. The three-day event blended tradition with modern creativity, drawing thousands of locals and tourists. Activities ranged from cultural displays to interactive experiences, all centred on joy and national pride.
The festival opened with a parade of young people wearing áo dài—the traditional Vietnamese long dress—combining heritage with contemporary flair. Nearby, a Happiness Tree stood covered in thousands of handwritten wishes and messages of love, inviting visitors to add their own.
A mass wedding ceremony for 80 couples took place at Đông Kinh Nghĩa Thục Square, symbolising unity and celebration. Meanwhile, the ‘Happy Việt Nam’ exhibition used light, colour, and storytelling to recreate daily life, capturing the spirit of the Vietnamese people. An interactive digital exhibition also offered a multi-sensory journey, merging technology with emotional and cultural themes.
Attendees could preserve memories at a dedicated photo booth or explore the festival’s diverse attractions. The event’s mix of romance, tradition, and innovation left a lasting impression on all who took part.
