The ART Giants Düsseldorf secured a hard-fought 85:79 home win against RASTA Vechta's second team on Sunday afternoon.

The Giants started the game strongly, taking an early 11:4 lead. However, Vechta fought back in the first quarter, narrowing the Giants' lead to 23:21. The second quarter was a close affair, with the Giants trailing 40:41 at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Giants turned the tide with a 13:2 run, taking a commanding 53:43 lead. Vechta managed to take the lead at one point in the third quarter, but the Giants responded well, and a three-pointer just before the end of the third quarter gave them a narrow lead going into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter was dominated by Emil Marshall, who hit six three-pointers, all in the final quarter. Kayne Henry tied the score in the final quarter, but the Giants managed to pull away and secure the victory. The final score was 85:79 in favour of the Giants.

Coach Achmadschah Zazai stated that the team aimed to dictate the game, and he was pleased with the team's performance, especially their character and resilience in the face of adversity. He praised Marshall's performance in the final quarter, saying that he showed great composure under pressure.

Coach Brian Daboll claimed after the game that the Giants can also win close games, and he was confident that the team can continue to improve and challenge for honours in the future.

The Giants struggled with rebounding in the second quarter, but they managed to hold their own in the final quarter. The scores for the Giants players were as follows: Hart (8), Averette (4), Tucker (4), Dahms (ne), Teichmann (6), Fleute, Richardson (12), Giese (7), Henry (13), Marshall (22), Edwardsson, Spearman (9).

Vechta attempted to stop the clock with fouls in the final minute, but it was too little too late, as the Giants held on to secure the win. The Giants will be hoping to build on this victory and continue their good form in the upcoming games.
