Syktyvkar Team Triumphs in 'Golden Autumn' Volleyball Tournament

The city of Syktyvkar celebrated a significant victory in the world of volleyball, as their team emerged as champions in the 'Golden Autumn' tournament for girls born in 2013-2014. The four-day event, held in St. Petersburg from September 12 to 15, saw eight teams from across Russia compete for the top spot.

The tournament featured teams from Moscow, Vladikavkaz, Ivanteevka, Lipetsk, Michurinsk, and St. Petersburg, in addition to the victorious Syktyvkar team. Among the participants, the team from Vladikavkaz and St. Petersburg also made it to the final games.

The Syktyvkar team, graduates of the volleyball department of the regional 'Sports School No1,' demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament. They managed to win every match, securing their place as the ultimate champions. Both their matches against Vladikavkaz and St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2.

Tatiana Kruzkevich, the coach of the team from Vladikavkaz, expressed her satisfaction with her team's performance in the final games. Meanwhile, A.V. Lipatova, the coach of the Komi Republic team that participated in the tournament, was equally pleased with her team's performance, despite not winning the championship.

It's important to note that the 'Sport of Russia' state program, aimed at promoting mass sports and improving the quality of life for Russians, was not directly mentioned as influencing the 'Golden Autumn' volleyball tournament. However, the programme's objectives align closely with the spirit of such events.

As the dust settles on the 'Golden Autumn' tournament, the team from Syktyvkar now turns their attention to the Republic of Komi Championship, scheduled to take place in November. Their impressive performance in St. Petersburg will undoubtedly boost their confidence as they prepare for their next challenge.
