Victory in Resounding Purple: 20-Point Triumph over Boston University
In an electrifying atmosphere, the College of the Holy Cross hosted its Men's Basketball Winter Homecoming game on February 8, 2025, at the Hart Center Arena. The opposing team was the Boston University Terriers, but the night belonged to the Crusaders, who clinched a resounding 20-point victory.
The game marked a significant kickoff for the 2024-2025 winter season, with the audience predominantly dressed in Holy Cross merchandise and free swag provided by the Holy Cross Athletics and the Holy Cross Student Government Association (SGA). The student section was highly enthusiastic, with some fans doing pushups after Holy Cross scored.
The top scorers of the game were freshman Max Green with 18 points and sophomore DeAndre Williams with 16 points. The team's performance was fantastic, resulting in a well-deserved victory.
Prior to the game, Holy Cross Athletics gave away free Team Purple t-shirts to fans, adding to the sea of Holy Cross colours in the arena. The high attendance included Holy Cross Men's and Women's Basketball alumni, with many generations of Holy Cross basketball players in attendance.
On a separate occasion, Peace of Mind hosted the Night Market in the Loyola Ballroom from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, February 23rd. The event, sponsored by Holy Cross Athletics, provided a vibrant pre-game atmosphere, offering a variety of food, activities, and merchandise.
The College of the Holy Cross also held its annual Co-Curricular Extravaganza on Saturday, September 10, 2022, in the Hart Center Arena of the Luth Athletic Complex. The event, hosted by The Purple Key, showcased various student organisations and their activities, making it an ideal opportunity for students to get involved and connect with their peers.
