Victory Day Parade on May 9th, 2025, in Tomsk: Event Schedule
On May 9, 2025, Tomsk, Russia, will mark the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War with a packed schedule of events. Here's a rundown of what you can expect:
9:00 AM – Kick off the day with the "Mile of Peace" race, starting at Lagerny Garden and ending at the main building of Tomsk State University. Participants, aged 18 and over, run towards unity and remembrance.
10:00 AM – Gather at Novosobornaya Square for a traditional rally-parade, where local leaders address the crowd.
11:50 AM – The emotional and poignant "Immortal Regiment" procession begins. Participants carrying portraits of their family members who fought in the war march together in this moving tribute.
