Victory announced for participants in Lisbon's Street protests

In third place at the 2023 edition of Lisbon's Grand Popular Parade, the neighborhood of Bica took the top spot. A total of 17 groups joined the competition that year, with Alfama coming in fourth, Madragoa in fifth, Marvila sixth, São Vicente seventh, Alto do Pina eighth, Mouraria ninth, and Penha de França in tenth. Bela Flor-Campolide was eleventh, Carnide took twelfth, Bairro da Boavista e and Benfica shared thirteenth place, Olivais was sixteenth, Beato seventeenth, Graça eighteenth, Lumiar nineteenth, and São Domingos de Benfica rounded out the parade in twentieth.

In the following year, Alcântara emerged as the winner.

According to EGEAC, São Vicente and Alcântara received awards in the categories of Best Choreography and Best Set Design, respectively. However, the details on Best Costume Design and the music-centric categories of Best Lyrics, Best Musicality, and Best Original Composition are not explicitly mentioned in the available sources. Some sources do confirm that the awards for Best Lyrics and Best Musicality were shared among Bairro Alto, Bica, and Marvila.

For Best Original Composition, the Bica group took the crown with the song "Meia porta, porta e meia." The Best Parade on the Avenue was shared by Bairro Alto, Bica, and Madragoa.

The 2025 edition of the parade started with the Macau Street Dance group, who performed the Golden Fish Lantern Dance. This was followed by the Children's March of Lisbon Schools and the extra-competition marches of "A Voz do Operário," Mercados, and Santa Casa.

This year's parade was themed around the soul of Lisbon, with lyrics and music provided by Gimba and performed by all participating groups (in addition to their own songs). The event attracted over 1,800 participants.

While the specific winners of Best Set Design, Best Costume Design, Best Musicality, Best Original Composition, and Best Central Theme for the 2023 Grande Marcha Popular de Lisboa are not fully detailed in the available sources, it is confirmed that Bairro da Bica was the winner in the categories of Best Parade, Best Choreography, and Best Lyrics.

In the next year's parade, Portugal witnessed a change as Alcãntara secured the victory. Despite the lack of details on the Best Costume Design and the music-centric categories, it is known that in the 2024 edition of the event, Bairro da Bica won the awards for Best Parade, Best Choreography, Best Lyrics, and shared the award for Best Lyrics with Bica and Marvila.
