Moderatorin Swarovski: "Thank you to my great love" - Victoria Swarovski conquers the Dakar Rally’s brutal desert challenge

Victoria Swarovski has completed the Dakar Rally, one of the world’s toughest motorsport events. The Austrian socialite and TV presenter finished in 98th place after competing in Saudi Arabia. She called the experience the hardest challenge of her life.

Instead of her usual role as a presenter, Swarovski took on the gruelling race herself. She later expressed pride in becoming a Dakar finisher and thanked her boyfriend, Mark Mateschitz, for his support. Mateschitz, co-owner of Red Bull since late 2022, also competed in the rally.

The event saw Nasser Al-Attiyah claim victory, securing the first-ever Dakar win for car manufacturer Dacia.

Swarovski’s completion of the rally marks a rare shift from entertainment to extreme motorsport. Her 98th-place finish follows weeks of intense competition across Saudi Arabia’s desert terrain. Meanwhile, Al-Attiyah’s triumph adds a historic moment for Dacia in the rally’s long history.
