Vicar CEO, overseeing Stock Car, commends Curvelo's auto racing venue, yet expresses interest in additional location in BH.
In an exciting development for motorsport enthusiasts, it has been announced that the Crystal Circuit in Curvelo will be hosting Stock Car races once again in 2026. This news comes after the 5th stage of the current Stock Car series was moved from Belo Horizonte to Curvelo, due to the significant development of the racetrack's infrastructure since 2017.
The decision to return to Curvelo has been welcomed by event manager and promoter, Lincoln Oliveira, who has praised the track. The pilots, too, find the circuit to be short and fast, a characteristic that promises thrilling races.
However, there is no confirmed information that Belo Horizonte or driver Will Curvelo will host or compete in any Stock Car races in the 2026 schedule. The available 2026 race schedules largely focus on NASCAR events in the U.S. and do not list any Stock Car Brasil races or events in Belo Horizonte.
Despite this, Lincoln has expressed his desire for Belo Horizonte to host a stage of Stock Car in 2026. He has appreciated the activities and the warmth of the public in the city, which he found to be a motivator.
The current 2025 NASCAR Brasil Series is active, but no 2026 Stock Car Brasil schedule or races in Belo Horizonte have been officially announced as of now. There is also a new prototype series starting in Brazil for 2026, but it does not specify events in Belo Horizonte nor involve Will Curvelo specifically.
Negotiations for the return of Stock Car to Curvelo in 2026 are already underway, and it seems that both the city and the track have left a lasting impression on those involved. As we eagerly await further updates, fans can look forward to the return of Stock Car to Curvelo in 2026.
