Vibrant Sports Gathering Takes Place in Altdorf, Welcoming Athletes of All Backgrounds
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, an inclusive sports festival is taking place at the DJK Altdorf sports field. The event, titled "Together Active. Sports festival for all", is organised by the Communal Youth Work of the Landshut district and the Open Disability Work of the BRK district association.
The festival offers various sports activities, including football on the Bananenflanke court and a creative mix of football and darts – the inclusive family sports football darts. Under the guidance of experienced trainers, participants can learn the basics of blind baseball and compete in a friendly match.
Special Olympics Bavaria is offering non-competitive stations at the sports festival, focusing on fun and inclusion. The Peak7 climbing hall is setting up a mobile climbing wall, providing an opportunity for participants to test their climbing skills in a safe environment. Yoga classes with YogaSprosse-Inklu and a live show by The Magic Yogis will also be part of the event.
In addition to the sports activities, a show match where participants can play with experienced players is also part of the event. Beate Schaffelhuber will offer a wheelchair obstacle course, open to children and youth with and without mobility impairments.
The sports festival aims not only to provide opportunities to try different sports but also to celebrate community and encourage exchange among participants. The club's guest house will provide food and drinks for attendees.
