VFL Offering Professional Deals to Five Players from NLZ

VfL Osnabrück, a Northern German football club, has affirmed its commitment to cultivating homegrown talent by offering professional contracts to five young players arising from the club's youth performance center. Finn Cramer, Joschka Kroll, Mats Remberg, Rohin Shivani, and Ibrahim Touray are the recipients of these contracts, marking a significant step towards their football careers.

All five players have already demonstrated their prowess during training sessions with the professional squad this season and have left a positive impression. Frithjof Hansen, co-trainer, is well-acquainted with the players from his previous role as U19 head coach.

In the previous season, Ismail Badjie and Yigit Karademir garnered substantial playing time, while Luca Böggemann and Kevin Wiethaup made their 3rd division debuts. All four players, along with Bernd Rießelmann who returned from BW Lohne, have shown promising development and are set to feature in the upcoming 3rd division season. These individuals have paved the way for the five newcomers to secure their professional contracts and continue their advancement in an individually designed framework.

The prospects for these young athletes may include loan stints at other clubs, providing valuable playing time and honing their skills in a competitive environment. VfL managing director, Dr. Michael Welling, emphasized that these decisions would be made collectively with the player and coaching team, ensuring the well-being of each individual throughout the process.

Alexander Ukrow, youth football director at VfL, expressed pride in the progress of the players and emphasized that the development shouldn't stop upon their graduation from the U19 league. Instead, they must continue to progress, aided by partial integration into the professional team's training operations and potential loan moves.

Finn Cramer, a 1.92-meter tall center forward, joined the VfL youth performance center from SV Meppen in 2024. His finishing ability shone through with 12 goals scored during the U19 season. Joschka Kroll, a versatile central defender, has been with the club since 2019 and scored seven goals during the U19 season. His height of 1.90 meters accentuates his offensive threat from set pieces.

Mats Remberg, a 19-year-old goalkeeper, has been with VfL since 2016. In the current season, he has taken the field regularly in the U19 and has also been part of the professional goalkeepers' group. Mr. Remberg was nominated for a DFB U18 perspective training camp in the fall of 2023.

Rohin Shivani, a technically skilled offensive midfielder, joined VfL from Hamburger SV last summer. He impressed with his creativity and awareness during U19 Bundesliga matches, scoring a spectacular free-kick goal against SV Drochtersen/Assel in a professional team test match.

Lastly, Ibrahim Touray, a robust and highly skilled center-back capable of playing as a right-back, joined Osnabrück in 2023. Standing at 1.88 meters, Touray's speed and physical presence showcase his potential. His previous clubs include SC Paderborn.

Finn Cramer and Joschka Kroll have displayed their skills in training sessions with the professional squad, following their contracts with VfL Osnabrück, with Cramer's finishing ability being particularly notable, as shown by his 12 goals in the U19 season. The sports-analysis of these players suggests promising futures, including potential loan stints at other clubs to further develop their skills and prepare for the 3rd division.
