FC Red Bull Salzburg Secures Signing of Anrie Chase

Anrie Chase, a 21-year-old central defender with Japanese and American roots, has completed a transfer from VfB Stuttgart to FC Red Bull Salzburg. The Austrian club has signed Chase on a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030.

Stuttgart reportedly received around €2 million for the move. Chase played 46 games for Stuttgart's second team and 20 for the first team, including Bundesliga and Champions League appearances. However, he had been sidelined since March due to a torn adductor muscle fiber.

Currently, Chase is recovering from this injury and is expected to be fully fit only later in the first half of the 2025/2026 season (Hinrunde). Salzburg's sporting director Rouven Schröder emphasized that they will take the necessary time for his recovery before integrating him into the team. His multilingual skills are expected to ease his adaptation to Salzburg.

In his three years at Stuttgart, Chase developed from the youth ranks to become an alternative for the Bundesliga squad. He was previously a member of the VfB Stuttgart squad but was not part of the matchday squad after the winter break.

Chase is a member of the Japanese U23 national team and will play in the Austrian first division with Salzburg. The club currently has Finn Jeltsch, Ameen Al-Dakhil, Luca Jaquez, Dan-Axel Zagadou, and Jeff Chabot in their squad for the center-back position.

Salzburg's sporting director, Rouven Schröder, has identified Chase as a promising center-back. This move represents Chase’s next career step after three years at Stuttgart, where he showed significant potential but has been on the sidelines recently due to injury.

  1. Anrie Chase, with his experience in multiple European leagues, is set to bring a new dynamic to FC Red Bull Salzburg's common organization of the market, particularly in the field of football, as he joins the Austrian club from VfB Stuttgart.
  2. As FC Red Bull Salzburg continues to strengthen their common organization of the market, the signing of Anrie Chase, who has showcased his talent in sports like football, serves as another strategic step towards building a competitive team in European-leagues.
