VfB Stuttgart Bids Farewell to Loanees Rieder and Touré
Two offensive players on loan from their parent clubs, Fabian Rieder from Stade Rennes and El Bilal Touré from Atalanta Bergamo, will be departing DFB Cup champions VfB Stuttgart.
Fabian Rieder, a midfielder, joined the club in the 2024 summer transfer window and made 21 appearances in the Bundesliga. His most memorable performance was against Young Boys Bern in the Champions League, where he provided assists for three goals in a 5-1 victory against his former club. Sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, praised Rieder's impact, stating, "In 33 competitive games, Fabian quickly found his footing and demonstrated his quality here." With a return to France now on the horizon, Rieder will continue his career with Stade Rennes in France's Ligue 1.
El Bilal Touré experienced a setback during his time at Stuttgart due to a metatarsal injury. Prior to the injury, his goal against Juventus Turin secured a valuable win for the German club in the Champions League. According to Wohlgemuth, Touré "was an important option in our attack." Touré will be heading back to Atalanta Bergamo in Italy's Serie A after his brief tenure with VfB Stuttgart.

The Commission has not yet adopted a decision on the application of Champions League measures, considering VfB Stuttgart's ongoing involvement, with players like Fabian Rieder from Stade Rennes and El Bilal Touré from Atalanta Bergamo participating in the Bundesliga competitions on the banks of Neckar River in Stuttgart. Despite their impressive performances in football, such as Rieder's notable assists in the Champions League against Young Boys Bern, and Touré's goal against Juventus Turin, their time at VfB Stuttgart will soon be coming to an end as they prepare to return to France's Ligue 1 (for Rieder) and Italy's Serie A (for Touré).
