Veteran NFL Coach Skip Peete Hospitalized After Collapsing During Practice

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' running backs coach Skip Peete fell ill during a team relocation evaluation, prompting immediate medical attention. He was responsive and coherent when taken to hospital for further evaluation.

Skip Peete, who has been an NFL coach since 1998, collapsed during practice. Coach Todd Bowles attributed the incident to possible dehydration and tests were being conducted to confirm this. The 55-year-old coach is in his third season with the Buccaneers, following stints with the Raiders, Cowboys, Bears, and Rams. Peete's father, Willie, also served as the Buccaneers' running backs coach from 1992 to 1994. Skip's brother, Rodney, played quarterback in the NFL for 16 seasons.

Peete is currently stable and responsive, with the organization promising further updates on his condition.
