Humor, Attitude, and Heart Awarded - Veteran Georg Ringsgwandl Honored With Lifetime Achievement Award at Bavarian Cabaret Gala

Georg Ringsgwandl, a veteran of musical cabaret, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Bavarian Cabaret Awards held in Munich's Lustspielhaus on Monday. The gala, hosted by Martin Frank with Desperate Brasswives providing the musical backdrop, will air on BR Television this Thursday evening at 9 PM.

Ringsgwandl, 76, has dedicated over four decades to his craft. His laudatory speech was delivered by Gisela Schneeberger, 77, who praised his enduring contribution to the art form. The evening also saw Claus von Wagner, 47, awarded the main prize for his cabaret program 'Projekt Equilibrium'. Philipp Weber, 51, spoke in his honor.

Toxische Pommes, the stage name of Irina, 32, was recognized as Creator of the Year for her sharp social commentary on TikTok and Instagram. Meanwhile, Lara Ermer, 29, from Fürth, won the Breakthrough Artist Award for her comedic take on scientific concepts.

The Bavarian Cabaret Awards celebrated established and emerging talent alike. Viewers can catch the highlights of the gala on BR Television this Thursday at 9 PM.
