Verl City continues its call for community members to step forward and offer their time as volunteers

The city of Verl in Germany is gearing up for its municipal election on September 14, 2025. This election promises to be an exciting event, and there's an opportunity for engaged citizens to get involved.

For those interested in volunteering, roles such as election assistants (Wahlhelfer) are available. These positions involve organising polling stations, checking voter identity, managing ballots, and supporting the electoral process on election day.

To become a volunteer, you typically need to meet certain requirements. You must be eligible to vote in the election, which usually means being a German citizen or an EU citizen with residence in Verl. You must also be at least 18 years old and available on election day, with some training beforehand being a possibility.
