Vengeful Vigilante Frank Castle Resumes His Bloodstained Crusade as The Punisher Again

Marvel's infamous anti-hero, Frank Castle aka The Punisher, is set to return to the comic book page this September in the new five-issue miniseries, "Punisher: Red Band." This exciting new series, from writers Ben Percy and Julius Ohta, kicks off on September 10, 2025.

In the series, Frank finds himself back in New York City, devoid of any memories of his past life but still adept at taking lives. The "Red Band" label on this series indicates a higher level of explicit content, reflecting the bloody exploits anticipated of the protagonist.

Ben Percy, known for his work on "Wolverine," expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "Frank Castle is one of my favorite characters, and writing the 'Punisher' series has been on my wishlist for a long time. Expect gritty, bloody street-level mayhem."

Frank's last appearance was in 2023, where he seized control of the Hand ninja cult, discovered his wife was alive and desire a divorce, and was subsequently transported to Weirdworld. This new series promises to delve into new adventures for the merciless vigilante.

While Marvel has had mixed feelings about how to handle Frank Castle in the past, whether due to television show timing or the misuse of his symbol by the police, the upcoming "Daredevil: Born Again" deals with similar issues. In its first season, Frank eliminates a group of Punisher police officers, acknowledging their misuse of his symbol.

Prepare for the return of The Punisher as "Punisher: Red Band" begins on September 10, 2025.
