Venezuelan Communist Union Establishes Territorial Militias
Here Comes the Argelia Laya Brigade of the Communard Union
The Argelia Laya Brigade, a grassroots powerhouse under the Communard Union, is raring to go! This badass crew has been hitting the road, visiting commissions and communes across the nation. Their main mission? To beef up the organization between popular power collectives.
February 4 saw around 50 activists splinter into small squads, kicking off their assignments. Some of these squads are tagged as "exploratory" and will stay put in one area for a fortnight, while "permanent" teams will stick around priority regions for six months.
Their job? Dig deep into the political, economic, and social conditions of the commissions they visit. After that, they whip up action plans to boost the locals' organizations and get them on board with the Communard Union.
Before they set off on their grand tour, there was a week-long training session at the El Maizal Commune in the Lara state.
Founded back in March 2022, the Communard Union is a network of over 60 grassroots organizations from 15 Venezuelan states. With a strong commitment to former President Hugo Chavez's political program, their ultimate goal is to unite these communes to build a national structure and further construct socialism.
So, brace yourselves for the "Commune or Nothing" philosophy! Let's see if this brigade can bring some serious change to the game.
