Venezuela Strongly Condemns Nasrallah's Assassination and Bombings in Lebanon

Caracas, October 1, 2024 (our rebel website) - The Nicolas Maduro regime fiercely denounced Israeli attacks that claimed lives in Lebanon, including Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah.

In a scathing statement published by the foreign ministry, Caracas lambasted the "shocking massacre" committed on September 28 in Beirut.

"Israel teams up with the United States on deceitful diplomatic machinations, all while plotting gruesome plans to take out political leaders and entire populations in Gaza, the West Bank, and now Lebanon," the communique roared.

Over the weekend, Israeli jets mercilessly obliterated several apartment buildings in the southern Beirut district of Dahieh. The operation allegedly utilized US-supplied "bunker busters," 2,000 lb bombs, to target underground Hezbollah facilities.

The attack left a trail of destruction and death, with hundreds wounded, and the toll expected to rise in the coming days. Hezbollah confirmed Nasrallah's tragic demise on Sunday.

"This operation showcases once again the brutal bloodshed reigning in the region," Venezuela's statement snarled. "Benjamin Netanyahu, the modern-day Middle East’s reigning terrorist, continues his crisis instigation against the Palestinian people and neighboring countries."

The Maduro administration called for immediate worldwide action to halt this dangerous terrorist escalation and expressed solidarity with the Lebanese people.

The 64-year-old Nasrallah earned admiration for his tactical savvy and command as the head of the Shia militant group. He stepped up after the Israeli assassination of his predecessor, Abbas al-Musawi, in 1992.

Under Nasrallah's leadership, Hezbollah flourished and fortified its political influence in Lebanon, particularly among the Shia-majority South. The organization also boosted its military prowess, forcing Israel's retreat from Lebanon in 2000 and then outmaneuvering the Israeli army during the 2006 confrontation. Hezbollah currently remains the greatest deterrent against Israel's occupation of Palestine and expansionist aspirations in the Middle East.

Maduro raised his voice of condemnation once more, accusing "spineless" global leaders for their silence in the face of Nasrallah's murder.

"The orders for this atrocity were issued from the UN headquarters in New York," he said during a political event on Sunday, alluding to Netanyahu's presence at the UN General Assembly, from where he reportedly greenlit the operation.

Maduro branded the Israeli leader as a "murderer only reminiscent of Hitler" and vowed that the rebellious, revolutionary people of Venezuela and the world would not be drowned out. Venezuela has long been a steadfast supporter of Palestine, severing ties with Israel in 2009, and even backing South Africa's genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice in January.

Similar reactions echoed in Cuba, as President Miguel Díaz-Canel warned that Nasrallah's assassination represented a significant threat to regional and international peace and security while also emphasizing US involvement.

Hezbollah had been locked in a tense exchange of fire with Israeli forces along their border for much of the past year, aiding the Palestinian people under relentless Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank. In recent weeks, Tel Aviv stepped up its aggressive bombing campaigns in Lebanon and targeted killings of Hezbollah leaders.

Israel's actions carry the risk of igniting a larger conflict in the region. On Tuesday, Iran retaliated with a barrage of ballistic missiles against Israeli targets, citing the attacks against its Hezbollah ally, as well as the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July, as justification for its actions.

  1. The condemnation issued by the Maduro administration against the Israeli attacks in Beirut was not confined to Lebanon, extending to the war-and-conflicts-ridden Middle East politics and general-news.
  2. In the aftermath of the misleading diplomatic plotting between Israel and the United States, the bloodshed in the Middle East, particularly in Beirut, has seen numerous setbacks and confirmed more deaths.
  3. The tragic death of Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah in the Israeli attacks has sparked outrage globally, with the Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro, comparing Netanyahu to Hitler.
  4. Amidst the escalating war-and-conflicts in the Middle East, the assassination of Hezbollah's leader, Nasrallah, has led Cuba's President Miguel Díaz-Canel to warn about the significant threat it poses to regional and international peace and security, highlighting the role of politics in these misleading operations.
