In a relief to her family and fans, Sandra Hall, the 80-year-old former member of the iconic music group The Platters, has been found safe after going missing for four days.

Sandra, who joined the band under the stage name Sandra Dawn in 1965, was last seen boarding a subway at Atlantic Avenue near the Barclays Center and Atlantic Terminal Mall around 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8[1][2]. Her disappearance led to an extensive search, with anyone having information regarding her whereabouts asked to contact the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or submit tips on the CrimeStoppers website.

A potential sighting of Sandra was reported in the Bronx on Tuesday night. The local precinct in the Bronx was contacted regarding the potential sighting, but the search did not lead to her being found[3].

Sandra's daughter, Star DaSilva, shared the news of her mother's disappearance in a Facebook post on Monday[4]. She also shared updates about the search efforts and the potential sightings reported.

Despite the initial concerns, Sandra was found at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she had been admitted without identification as a "Jane Doe" the same day she disappeared[1][2]. Her family confirmed that she is doing well after her ordeal.

The Platters, a music group active from the 1950s to the 1960s, are known for hits like "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes," "Only You," and "The Great Pretender." The group, which experienced numerous lineup changes, had its last surviving original member, Herb Reed, pass away in 2012[6].

Sandra, who had a brief chart resurgence with the band after joining, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, leading the group at times[5]. However, it's important to note that Sandra has dementia and could be confused[7].

As of the latest reports, Sandra Hall is not missing and is presumably with her family or in a care facility to ensure her safety. Specific details about her current location beyond her hospital recovery are not publicly disclosed.
