In a shocking turn of events, a severe traffic accident occurred on Haldemer Straße in Bohmte at around 8 pm on Saturday.

The accident involved a 27-year-old motorcyclist who was traveling at a significantly excessive speed without a valid driver's license and with an unregistered motorcycle. The motorcyclist crashed into the trailer of an agricultural vehicle on Bundesstraße 65, resulting in a chain reaction that led to a car crashing through a T-junction, multiple properties, and ending up in the roof of a house.

The scene presented a picture of devastation to the emergency services. The driver of the accident car suffered serious injuries, while the other passengers were initially reported to have only minor injuries. Tragically, a 7-year-old child who was playing near the scene was seriously injured.

Five other individuals were also injured in the accident: the 42-year-old driver, his 43-year-old passenger, and three children aged 11, 12, and 13.

Height rescue specialists of the professional fire department Osnabrück provided support, along with the local fire department in Bohmte, which received support from the fire departments in Herringhausen and Bad Essen. The fire department was alerted to the accident.
