Vehicle Restriction on Karaganda Highway Due to Sudden Weather Deterioration

A sudden weather deterioration has led to a vehicle restriction on the Karaganda - Ayaqoz - Bugaz highway in the Karaganda region. The restriction, which began on October 12 at 21:00 hours, affects a stretch of 152 km from km 64 to km 216 due to the hurricane-like conditions. Four units of special road equipment have been deployed for snow clearance and anti-icing treatment.

Vehicles with summer tires are advised to avoid the affected stretch due to the deteriorating hurricane conditions. The restriction is expected to last until October 13, 2025, at 08:00 hours, provided hurricane conditions improve and safety is ensured. As of now, there is no information available about who leads KazAvtoZhol or who declared the resumption of traffic on the highway on October 13, 2025.

Motorists are urged to check weather updates and road conditions before traveling on the Karaganda - Ayaqoz - Bugaz highway. The safety of all road users is the top priority during this hurricane period.
