Vehicle Incident Involving E-Scooter Leads to 8-Year-Old's Slight Injuries; Officials Reinforce that E-Scooters are Not Playthings
In the small town of Bedburg, Germany, a traffic accident occurred on September 3rd, involving an 8-year-old boy and a 12-year-old E-Scooter rider. The incident took place at around 3:45 PM on Lindenstraße, close to Graf-Salm-Straße, specifically in front of house number 51.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police officers found that all legal guardians of the children were present. Witness statements were recorded, and the accident scene was thoroughly documented. A traffic accident report was prepared, and emergency services were promptly called to treat the injured boy.
Before the arrival of the emergency services, kind-hearted witnesses provided first aid to the 8-year-old boy, who was thrown back about two meters due to the collision. The boy was found to have suffered only minor injuries.
The operator of the E-scooter involved in the accident was a 12-year-old girl, who is underage for E-scooter use according to legal regulations. The girl collided frontally with the 8-year-old boy.
