Vegas Golden Knights Foundation launches a student-led Farmers Market for sustainability
The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation is set to host a Farmers Market on March 28, 2026, at Lee's Family Forum. Running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event will showcase fresh produce grown by students from 19 local schools involved in sustainability programs. Proceeds will support Garden Farms of Nevada's initiatives, which help communities grow their own food.
The market is part of a partnership with Garden Farms of Nevada, an organisation focused on empowering people through sustainable farming. Students from participating schools will sell their homegrown produce, with the VGK Foundation matching all sales up to $20,000. These funds will directly benefit the schools' sustainability efforts.
The event will also feature appearances from Vegas Golden Knights alumni Alec Martinez, along with players from the Henderson Silver Knights and Vegas Knight Hawks. Team mascots, cast members, and the Knight Line will perform throughout the day, adding entertainment to the cause. Additional funding for Garden Farms of Nevada will come from a jersey auction held on March 17. The auction is one of several fundraising efforts by the foundation, which also includes a 51/49 Raffle and memorabilia sales. The Vegas Golden Knights, owned by Black Knight Sports and Entertainment LLC, support local non-profits through their foundation, focusing on education, youth sports, and health initiatives.
The Farmers Market will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lee's Family Forum, with all matched produce sales going back to school sustainability programs. While the exact number of schools involved statewide remains unclear, the event highlights ongoing efforts to promote local food growth and community engagement. The foundation's contributions will help expand these initiatives in the coming year.
