Vasily Shimokhin re-appointed to Tommot City Council deputy position
In the heart of Siberia, the city of Tommot is buzzing with activity. The General Director of JSC "Yakutia Railways," Vasily Shimoihin, has recently been elected to the Tommot City Council, following a successful term in the previous convocation.
Shimoihin's victory, which saw him receive 229 votes, equating to 50% of those who voted at the polling station, is considered a testament to his effective work over the years. His reputation as a person who delivers on his promises played a significant role in his victory.
One of the first orders of business for Shimoihin is the continuation of ongoing projects. Work will continue on the asphalt paving of streets in Tommot, and construction of a hotel on the left bank in the Shatuna area is ongoing. The industrial museum in the Uklan park area is also under development.
Shimoihin's focus, however, is not just on continuing existing programs. He has set tasks for the further development of Tommot's infrastructure, urban environment, and attracting investments. The construction of new heating pipelines is a testament to this ambition.
The city's appearance has already been positively impacted by the repair and construction of 15 km of heating networks, and asphalt paving of 25 km of streets. Serious work has also been done to convert boilers to gas in Tommot, making it the only city in the republic where the technology of delivering liquefied gas from Lower Bestyakh, its conversion from liquid to gaseous state, and its delivery to boilers - the places of consumption, has been worked out.
In addition to infrastructure, Shimoihin is also committed to the development of social facilities. Construction of a kindergarten on the left bank of Tommot is nearing completion. Previously, he oversaw the completion of boxing and wrestling halls, a cadet corps, and a children's sports ground in a new residential quarter.
Voters appreciated Shimoihin's specific deeds and implemented initiatives for the city's improvement, support of its residents, and enterprises. His rich experience as a manager and deputy will undoubtedly be an asset as he continues to develop Tommot.
Shimoihin expressed his gratitude to the residents of Tommot for the trust bestowed upon him. He intends to continue all planned programs and implement new initiatives, ensuring that Tommot continues to thrive and grow.
