Various prominent figures, including Brian Eno, Eric Cantona, Damon Albarn, Neneh Cherry, and numerous others, unite to express support for Palestine.

In a powerful display of solidarity, over 69 artists, activists, and celebrities gathered at Wembley Arena for Brian Eno's Together For Palestine event. The event aimed to show support for the people of Palestine amidst the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

Eric Cantona, the legendary footballer turned actor, made a rare public appearance at the event, calling for football authorities to boycott Israel and for fans to refuse to play against Israeli teams. His plea was echoed by many, including Omar El Akkad, an Egyptian-Canadian writer, who said, "One day, everyone will have always been against the ongoing situation in Palestine."

The event was a musical extravaganza, with performances by Neneh Cherry, Greentea Peng, and Dan Smith of Bastille, who delivered a spine-tingling version of Cherry's 1994 hit 7 Seconds. The London Arab Orchestra, Damon Albarn, and Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) performed a medley of Palestinian traditional songs and a preview of a new Gorillaz track, Damascus.

Annie Lennox contributed a new version of her song Why, with rewritten lyrics, which will be available on streaming platforms with all proceeds going to the Together For Palestine fund. A brand new Gorillaz track, Damascus, was previewed during the event.

Richard Gere, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Florence Pugh made speeches at the event, expressing their solidarity with the people of Palestine. Brian Eno, in an article for The Guardian, wrote ahead of the event, expressing the hope that artists could help people see Palestinians as human beings deserving of respect and protection.

The funds raised from the event will be distributed to Palestinian-led organizations such as Taawon, Palestine Children's Relief Fund, and the Palestinian Medical Relief Service. As of the event, nearly £1.5 million has been raised, and donations can still be made by clicking the provided link.

Mahmoud Sarsak, a participant in the event, was the teammate of Suleiman al-Obeid, who was killed by Israeli Defence Forces. The event was a poignant reminder of the ongoing struggle and the need for continued support for the people of Palestine.
