Vanino District prepares for heating shutdowns before summer break

Vanino District’s heating season will officially end this Sunday. Before then, residents and businesses will face brief disruptions as annual maintenance gets underway. The work ensures the system is ready for the next winter. The first interruption will happen overnight from May 24 to 25. During this time, radiators in homes and public buildings will turn off completely.

From May 25 to 31, hot water services will also stop. The pause allows crews to inspect and repair boiler equipment. These shutdowns occur every year to check pipes, valves, and heating units before colder weather returns.

The temporary cuts affect both heating and hot water for nearly a week. Once completed, the upgrades will help prevent breakdowns when winter arrives. Normal service is expected to resume by June 1.
