Valentine's Day tours at the House of the Sea reveal wild animal love stories

The House of the Sea is hosting special Valentine's Day tours on February 14 and 15. These guided visits explore how animals form relationships—from lifelong bonds to solitary habits. Couples can book a spot for €55, which covers admission for two.

The tours run at 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM on both days. Participants will learn about species with very different social behaviours. White-faced sakis, for example, stay monogamous and often cuddle or groom each other. In contrast, Komodo dragons live alone and only meet during mating season.

Registration is open online until 24 hours before each tour. Spaces are limited, so booking early is advised. The programme mixes romantic atmosphere with facts about animal courtship and social structures.

The event blends natural history with a seasonal theme. For €55, couples get entry plus a guided look at how animals pair up—or don't. All bookings must be made through the House of the Sea's website.
