Anambra's APC Governor aspirant, Valentine Ozigbo, accuses Governor Soludo of sabotage
"Valentine Ozigbo's Influence Intimidates Soludo, With Ukachuku Acting Willingly as His Aid"
In a surprising turn of events, aspiring gubernatorial candidate for Anambra State's All Progressives Congress (APC), Valentine Ozigbo, has pointed the finger at Governor Charles Soludo for allegedly funding his rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu, to create a power struggle within the party.
During a recent appearance on Arise Television's Morning Show, Ozigbo unabashedly stated that Soludo is acting out of fear of him contesting in the upcoming election. He claimed that Soludo is utilizing Ukachukwu as a pawn to destabilize the APC in the state.
It was on the 5th of April that Ukachukwu took the APC’s governorship ticket, clinching 1,455 votes, while Ozigbo managed just 67, Edozie Madu 8, and Johnbosco received 26 votes. However, Ozigbo maintains that Soludo is threatened by his candidacy and, in combining forces with Ukachukwu, seeks to undermine the party.
Ozigbo insists that Ukachukwu lacked the qualifications to participate in the primary election and intends to prove this in court. He went on to say, "I am a thoughtful and cautious politician, and I won't stand for manipulation or corruption, especially when it comes to political leadership."
