"Valentine Ozigbo Claims Soludo Perceives Him With Fear, According to Him, Ukachuku Willingly Aided in This"

Valentine Ozigbo, an All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Anambra State, has fired a political broadside at Governor Charles Soludo, alleging that Soludo is sponsoring Nicholas Ukachukwu to undermine the APC's stability in the state due to fear of Ozigbo's formidable competition in the forthcoming election.

According to a report on our website, Ozigbo, speaking on Arise Television's Morning Show, suggested that Soludo is using Ukachukwu, who clinched the APC's governorship ticket with 1,455 votes, to destabilize the party. Ozigbo managed only 67 votes in the party primary, while Edozie Madu and Johnbosco received 8 and 26 votes, respectively.

However, Ozigbo insists that Soludo's apprehension about his candidacy runs deep. "Soludo fears having me on the ballot, and Ukachukwu has become a willing tool," Ozigbo asserted. He further asserted that Ukachukwu is not even eligible to contest the primary election in the first place, a claim he intends to prove in court [1][2][3].

"I entered the race, and things started getting fishy," Ozigbo explained, dismayed by the delegate list used during the APC primary in Anambra State, which he feels was manipulated. The other candidates, including himself, were allegedly frustrated when an unauthorized list of delegates materialized at the last minute, resulting in their eventual withdrawal.

Ozigbo lost the 2021 election to Soludo and declined to challenge the result, but he insists he's not antagonizing Soludo out of malice. Rather, he is compelled to stand up against what he perceives as an unfair scheme aimed at jeopardizing the APC's future in Anambra State.

"I'm aware of the meetings held, and my intelligence is solid. Soludo is scared of my candidacy, and he's orchestrating this political maneuver to weaken and destabilize the APC," Ozigbo alleged. He also hinted at widespread executives' defection from the party, citing the disintegration of APC from the chairmanship position to the ward chairmanship level in five local governments [1][2][3].

As a result, Ozigbo is calling upon President Buhari to take notice of the situation, warning that allowing the rot to fester will significantly weaken and harm the APC for a prolonged period [1][2][3].
