The Junior PGA Championship, held at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana, is heating up as the final round approaches.

In the main competition, Charlie Woods, son of golfing legend Tiger Woods, is currently in second place at 12-under-par. However, he finds himself seven strokes behind the leader, Lunden Esterline. Woods' strong performance includes carding nine birdies for the second consecutive day.

Woods, who won the Team TaylorMade AJGA Invitational in May, marking his biggest ever win, has been making waves in the golfing world. His victory helped him move up the AJGA rankings, where he currently sits at 20th position. Despite his impressive performance, Woods narrowly missed qualifying for the 2025 U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team after a tough final day at the Junior PGA Championship. He shot a 3-over 74 in the final round, causing him to drop down the leaderboard. Although he could still be selected as a captain's pick, this is not expected due to other higher-ranked players.

In the girls division, Asterisk Talley, a Curtis Cup star and currently holding the top spot in the AJGA rankings, has been a standout. Talley holds a two-stroke lead going into the final round. Three other players are just one stroke behind Talley and Woods' other playing partner, Pennson Badgett, at 11-under.

Past winners in the girls division of the Junior PGA Championship include Yuka Saso, Rose Zhang, Lexi Thompson, and Inbee Park. The competition promises to be a thrilling finale, with live scoring available for viewing.

The final round of the competition will take place over the Kampen-Cosler course. Lunden Esterline and Charlie Woods will play together in the final group at 10.06am ET. It will be an exciting showdown as the young golfers fight for the Junior PGA Championship title.

Charlie Woods, despite his impressive golf skills and second place in the Junior PGA Championship, finds himself seven strokes behind the leader, Lunden Esterline, in the sport of golf. In the same tournament, Asterisk Talley, a prominent figure in women's sports golf, holds a two-stroke lead going into the final round.
