US actress Lana Parrilla dons Jacquie Aiche jewelry brilliantly
On Aug. 15, the highly anticipated television adaptation of John Grisham's 1995 novel, "The Rainmaker," premiered on USA Network. The series will also be available to stream on Peacock starting Aug. 16.
Among the stars gracing the red carpet was Lana Parrilla, who played the role of Jocelyn "Bruiser" Stone, a seasoned and unconventional lawyer. Parrilla, known for her role as Regina Mills, also known as the Evil Queen, in the ABC series "Once Upon a Time," chose to wear a black ensemble paired with jewelry from US-Egyptian brand Jacquie Aiche.
Jacquie Aiche, the designer behind the brand, is a favourite among celebrities such as Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, and Shanina Shaik. Her eponymous label, launched from her garage in 2008, is renowned for its delicate pieces, often featuring Arab influences and natural elements like turquoise and gemstones.
Parrilla's black gown, designed by an unspecified creator, featured a high-neck, sleeveless design, a belted waist, and a sheer pleated skirt. She accessorised her outfit with Aiche's signature pieces, including delicate earrings, finger bracelets, and a choker, which were a nod to her indigenous American ancestors and the brand's Arab influences.
Other celebrities who have been styled in Aiche’s pieces for red-carpet events include Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, and Shanina Shaik. The stylists of these stars often visit Aiche’s Beverly Hills showroom to choose her delicate earrings, finger bracelets, and chokers for such events.
In "The Rainmaker," Parrilla's character, Jocelyn "Bruiser" Stone, is a formidable presence. She is joined by a talented cast, including Milo Callaghan as Rudy Baylor, a newly graduated law student, P.J. Byrne as Deck Shifflet, a paralegal, and John Slattery as attorney Leo F. Drummond. Madison Iseman, Dan Fogler, and Robyn Cara also feature in the series.
Robyn Cara, who attended the premiere, wore a black gown by Lebanese designer Elie Saab. The dress featured a sheer flowing train, a plunging neckline, a delicate lace bodice, a fitted waist, and a semi-sheer skirt.
"The Rainmaker" promises to be an engaging and captivating series, with Parrilla's performance as Jocelyn "Bruiser" Stone being a highlight. Catch the series on USA Network and Peacock starting Aug. 16.
