Article Title: A Week of Eclectic Music in Berlin

In the vibrant cultural scene of Berlin, music lovers have a treat this week as various artists take centre stage.

Firstly, Anja Huwe, the founder and lead vocalist of the iconic band Xmal Deutschland, will be performing at the Volksbühne on the 28th and 30th of September, starting at 8 PM. Huwe initially rose to fame by blending post-punk with a gothic vibe, a style that she initially released through Alfred Hilsberg. Although an Xmal Deutschland reunion is not happening, some of their hits will be played at the Volksbühne. Huwe, who is also a painter, released an album titled "Codes" last year, which was well-received.

Meanwhile, on the 21st of September, starting at 18:30, the performance "From The Engine Room" will take place. This performance, which puts engine noises in the spotlight as a requiem for technology, is led by cellist Ulrike Ruf, along with Heidrun Schramm and bass clarinetist.

Moving on to the 19th of September, two notable events are scheduled. At 20:00, Bobby Conn, an experimental electro-glam rocker hailing from Chicago's vibrant No Wave scene of the 1990s, will be performing. Conn, currently entertaining listeners on Deutschlandradio, has a new album titled "Bobby's Place" which he calls a "split personality album." The album introduces various characters in a fictional workplace sitcom. Advance tickets for this concert cost €16.95.

Interestingly, the same night, at 20:30, the Jakob Manz Project, led by a young jazz prodigy, will be performing at Gretchen. Manz, who completed two studies at the age of 15, promises an evening of experimental sound worlds. Advance tickets for this event cost €24.20.

Bobby Conn is also excited about playing at a festival in Frankfurt. Furthermore, he feels committed to nurturing young talent in Frankfurt, a commitment that is reflected in his upcoming performances.

Lastly, Kunstraum Hošek Contemporary is providing space for experimental sound worlds every Wednesday and some Sundays.

For those interested in securing advance tickets for the performances at the Volksbühne and Gretchen, tickets cost €40 and €24.20 respectively. Don't miss out on this week's musical extravaganza in Berlin!
