In the aftermath of the devastating floods that hit the Hill Country on July 4, 2020, claiming at least 132 lives, including John and Julia Burgess and their sons who were swept away while camping along the Guadalupe River, country singer Pat Green stepped forward to organise a concert for flood relief efforts.

On July 16, 2020, the "Pat Green & Friends: Central Texas Flood Relief Livestream" concert took place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The event, which started at 6:30 p.m. CT, was held without a live audience, but was livestreamed for free on Green's YouTube channel.

The concert featured an impressive lineup of country music stars and friends, including Pat Green himself, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, Casey Donahew, Josh Abbott, Eli Young Band, Joe Nichols, Ty Myers, Kevin Fowler, Bob Schneider, Corey Kent, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Ryan Bingham, Flatland Cavalry, Kaitlin Butts, Aaron Watson, and Jon Wolfe.

Green, who lost his nephews John Burgess and Julia Anderson Burgess in the floods, expressed his belief that the community's support would help in the healing process. He stated that the proceeds from the concert would go to organisations directly benefiting the families affected by the disaster.

As the search for John and Julia's sons continues, the community's spirit of unity and support was evident in the outpouring of music and funds for those affected by the floods. The concert, though virtual, served as a powerful reminder of the resilience of the community and the power of music to bring people together in times of need.
