Upon arrival in Lahore, President Pezeshkian was received by PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in the walled-city. The meeting between the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and regional security.

Accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, senior ministers, and top officials, President Pezeshkian visited the mausoleum of Pakistan's national poet Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal in Lahore and offered Fateha for his soul. He also recorded his impressions for Allama Iqbal's literary legacy in the visitors' book.

High-level delegation-level talks between Pakistan and Iran will also take place during the visit. The khateeb of the historic Badshahi Mosque, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, offered special prayers for the unity of the Muslim Ummah on this occasion.

The visit is expected to lead to deeper diplomatic engagement and expanded economic partnership, especially considering Iran's strategic interests in fostering regional stability and growing economic exchanges with Pakistan.
