Casio's past inside the prison system isn't squeaky clean. In 2008, he received an additional six-year sentence for assault with a deadly weapon and in 2018, another two years for deadly weapon possession and manufacturing.
Casio, who was allegedly responsible for the attack, has been placed in restricted housing while investigations take place. Page Six reports that Lanez was indeed stabbed several times in the face.
In 2020, Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion, leaving her with serious foot injuries. He was convicted of assault and other related charges in 2022 and is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence.
Investigations are ongoing by the Kern County District Attorney's Office and the prison's investigative services unit to uncover the details behind this incident.
Lanez's legal team has yet to comment on the situation. In 2023, he received a 10-year prison sentence in connection with the 2020 Hollywood Hills incident.
