Get ready, folks! The fall season of 2025 is shaping up to be a fantastic one for TV and movie enthusiasts. Here's a rundown of some of the most anticipated premieres across various platforms.

Television

Netflix is set to unveil the limited series Black Rabbit, starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman, on September 18. If you're a fan of the supernatural, mark your calendars for September 3, when Part 2 of the second season of Wednesday will return to Netflix, following Part 1 on August 6.

ABC's dance competition show Dancing with the Stars is back on September 16, featuring celebrities such as Robert Irwin, Alix Earle, Jen Affleck, and Whitney Leavitt.

CBS's fall lineup kicks off on October 12, with special kick-offs for Matlock and Elsbeth, and September premieres for Survivor and The Amazing Race. The rest, including NCIS and its spinoffs, Fire Country, Blue Bloods, Sheriff Country, and Boston Blue, premiere the week of October 12.

NBC's fall season begins on September 30 with On Brand With Jimmy Fallon. Returning favourites like The Voice, Chicago Fire, and Law & Order: SVU will return this fall; however, specific premiere dates for many shows align around this time.

Movies

September is packed with exciting movie releases. On September 5, The Conjuring: Last Rites will hit theaters. A week later, on September 12, you can catch Downton Abbey 3, The Long Walk, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, and Spinal Tap II: The End Continues.

On September 19, look out for Him, Xeno, and A Big, Bold Beautiful Journey. The month ends with Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, One Battle After Another, and The Strangers: Chapter 2 on September 26.

October is no less exciting. The Smashing Machine and Roofman will be released on October 3, followed by TRON: Ares and Kiss of the Spider Woman on October 10. The Black Phone 2, Good Fortune, and After the Hunt are scheduled for October 17.

Mortal Kombat 2 is expected to be released around mid to late October, while Regretting You and Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere will premiere on October 24. Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc is set for October 29, and Bugonia will be released on Halloween, October 31.

In addition, Frankenstein, Tron: Ares, Black Phone 2, Five Nights at Freddy's 2, The Running Man, and Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery are upcoming movies.

Don't miss the third and final movie of Downton Abbey, titled Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, set to release in theaters on September 12. Ethan Hawke stars as "truthstorian" Lee Raybon in the upcoming FX limited series The Lowdown, premiering on September 23 and streaming on Hulu.

The last season of Stranger Things is in three parts, with the first part releasing on Netflix on November 26, and parts 2 and 3 dropping on December 25 and December 31, respectively.

Lastly, Predator: Badlands, an origin story for the Predator series, is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and will be released in theaters on November 7. The 4th season of The Morning Show will explore conspiracy theories and deepfakes on Apple TV+.

Ghosts returns to CBS on October 16 for its 5th season, with a diverse cast and a well-written adaptation of the British series. Sentimental Value, directed by Joachim Trier and winner of the Cannes Grand Prix, will be released in theaters on November 7.
