Upcoming Women's Twenty20 Cricket World Cup in 2023
Get ready, sports fans! The Women's T20 World Cup 2023 is almost upon us, and we can't wait to see what this year has in store for women in sports. Kickstarting a packed year of sports, the cricket tournament begins on February 10 and ends on February 26, 2023.
Three legendary venues throughout South Africa will play host to the 23 matches of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023:

T20 Venues
Boland Park - Paarl
With six games taking place at Boland Park during the group stage, cricket fans have plenty to look forward to! The opening match will be Australia vs New Zealand in Paarl, followed by South Africa and the White Ferns on February 12. Three doubleheaders will be played at the venue, featuring Australia and New Zealand, England vs the West Indies on February 11, England vs Ireland on February 13, New Zealand vs Sri Lanka on February 19, and Pakistan vs the West Indies on February 20. A total of six matches will be played in 2023, more than double the number of games held during the 2003 Men's Cricket World Cup.
St George's Park Cricket Ground - Gqeberha
As the defending champions, Australia will feel right at home on the grounds of St George's Park. Three out of their four group games will take place here, starting on Valentine's Day against Bangladesh. Up to 19,000 spectators will flock to see the action at this location, with a total of five matches scheduled. Following their engagement in Group A, Australia will face South Africa and Sri Lanka. Group B will take center stage on February 18 for England's match against India and continue on February 19 for Ireland and India's championship match.
Newlands Cricket Ground - Cape Town
On February 26, the trophy ceremony for the Women's T20 World Cup 2023 will take place in the beautiful Newlands setting, overlooking Table Mountain. In addition to the final, the opening match and both semi-finals will be held here. The famous 25,000-seat stadium is expected to be overflowing with fans for all 12 matches it will host, including four doubleheaders during the group stage.
On February 10, South Africa faces Sri Lanka in Cape Town, while India, the runners-up of last year's tournament, will play two group games at the location. In a thrilling matchup, India and Pakistan clash first, followed by the West Indies three days later. England faces Pakistan on February 21 during the final group stage match. Ireland will compete against both Pakistan and the West Indies. Bangladesh will participate in three Group A games on the Newlands field, facing Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and the hosts in the parliamentary hub of South Africa.
