Upcoming weekend event: Middleton Kids Triathlon to be held by Active Youth Wisconsin
The Middleton Kids Triathlon, held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Bauman Aquatic Center, marked a significant milestone for Active Youth Wisconsin. The local nonprofit organised this event, which provided hundreds of young athletes with the opportunity to compete and become triathletes.
With over 637 participants and more than 1600 spectators and supporters in attendance, the triathlon featured various race courses including Long, Medium, and Intermediate to accommodate different skill levels. The event aimed to build children’s confidence, physical fitness, and life skills in a fun, family-friendly environment.
Amanda Marek, Executive Director of Active Youth Wisconsin, expressed her joy at seeing over 600 kids cross the finish line. She found it particularly rewarding to witness the big smiles on the faces of the kids who had accomplished something significant.
One such participant was Felina Clearly, who took part in the Middleton Kids Triathlon. The event is part of Active Youth Wisconsin’s Tri 4 Schools program, which promotes youth movement, confidence-building, and community involvement while supporting local schools.
The Middleton Kids Triathlon had a notable positive impact on Active Youth Wisconsin. It engaged numerous kids from over 140 schools in the region, raised funds that supported school physical education classes and programs, and inspired families and volunteers to contribute.
