On July 22nd, the Delta Center in Salt Lake City will host UFC 291, a highly anticipated event featuring a rematch in the lightweight division between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.

Poirier, currently ranked No.2, boasts a record of 29-7, and Gaethje, ranked No.3, has a record of 24-4. Both fighters have won their previous bouts, with Poirier submitting Michael Chandler in the 3rd round, while Gaethje narrowly defeated Rafael dos Anjos by majority decision. The main event is a rematch from April 2018, where Poirier defeated Gaethje by technical knockout in the 4th round.

The co-main event will be a light heavyweight bout between Jan Blachowicz, currently ranked No.3, and Alex Pereira, who is making his light heavyweight debut after a knockout loss in his rematch with Israel Adesanya. Blachowicz has a record of 7-2, while Pereira has a record of 7-2. The current UFC Middleweight champion, who will fight Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291, is Khamzat Chimaev, having held the title since August 17, 2025.

Sijara Eubanks (USA) will face Vinicius Salvador (Brazil) in a flyweight bout. Eubanks, with a record of 11-4-1, will look to continue her winning streak against Salvador, who has a record of 14-5. Miranda Maverick (USA) will face Priscila Cachoeira (Brazil) in another women's flyweight bout.

In the welterweight division, Matthew Semelsberger (USA) will fight Uroš Medić (Serbia), and Jake Matthews (Australia) will face Darrell Horcher (USA). Semelsberger and Medić have records of 14-4 and 10-1, respectively, while Matthews and Horcher have records of 17-6 and 16-5-2, respectively.

Roman Kopylov (Russia), winner of his last two fights, will face Claudio Ribeiro (Brazil) in a middleweight bout. Kopylov has a record of 10-2, while Ribeiro has a record of 7-3. Gabriel Bonfim (Brazil) and Trevin Giles (USA) will face each other in another middleweight bout.

Derrick 'The Black Beast' Lewis (USA) will fight Marcos Rogerio de Lima (Brazil) in the heavyweight division. Lewis has a record of 26-9, while de Lima has a record of 17-6-1.
