Upcoming releases! Nintendo Switch games set to debut in August 2024
The galaxy far, far away has made its way to the Nintendo Switch once again, as Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is set to release on August 1, 2025. Originally released in 2002, this third-person action-adventure game lets players control Jango Fett, the iconic bounty hunter, in a Star Wars-themed story.
In this remastered version by Aspyr, players can expect updated lighting, fresher textures, and a new Boba Fett skin. The game also includes a flashlight feature to enhance the original gameplay experience.
As a bounty hunter, players will use various weapons and gadgets, including a jetpack, to explore missions that combine shooting, platforming, and stealth elements in the Star Wars universe. The game retains the relic of early 2000s gameplay style, featuring exploration on diverse planets and bounty hunts.
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter offers a suspenseful narrative set before the events of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. Players will investigate a student's death where the head was covered with a paper bag featuring an eerie smiling face, all while dealing with a story of suspicion, isolation, and fragility.
Meanwhile, fans of mech combat can look forward to Bounty Star, a sci-fi western mech game set for release in October 2025, which is unrelated to the Star Wars title.
So, grab your jetpack and blaster, and get ready to embark on an adventure as Jango Fett in Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S from August 1, 2025.
