Upcoming performance by Patrisa Gruber in a return event

On the evening of Saturday, September 27th, the Municipal Music School will host a special event as Patrisia Gruber and pianist Jhih-Ting Wong present their musical development in a duo performance. This event, part of the "ComeBack" concerts, begins at 7 PM.

Patrisia Gruber, a flutist born in Landshut in 1996, has a rich musical history. She studied flute at the Municipal Music School Landshut from 2005 to 2015, and later pursued further education at the University of Music Karlsruhe, where she completed her artistic bachelor's and master's degree.

Gruber's piano partner, Jhih-Ting Wong, hails from Taiwan and studied at the National University of Taipei and in Karlsruhe. Wong has been working as a répétiteur at the University of Music in Karlsruhe since 2021, and studied with professors Kalle Randalu and Hartmut Höll as a soloist and lied accompanist.

The program for the evening includes music from the late romantic period, such as the Serenade by Korngold and the "Undine" sonata by Carl Reinecke. The duo will also perform works by two French composers, Pierre Sancan and André Jolivet, including a sonatina and "Chant de Linos".

The "ComeBack" concerts have been taking place at the Municipal Music School for eleven years. These concerts are a way for the music school to express gratitude for enabling many talents, including Tanja Wagner, the organiser of this event, to pursue a professional musical career.

Since 2025, Gruber has been the head of the department at the School of Music and Performing Arts in Gaggenau. Gruber also received musical impulses at international masterclasses, and was a trainee at the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra. Her teachers at the Municipal Music School Landshut included Christian Mattick, Carina Gehring, and Tanja Wagner.

Former student Patrisia Gruber, a flutist, will be performing at the upcoming "ComeBack" concert. Admission to the event is free, but donations for the artists are welcome. The "Concert & Course" concept includes watching musicians who were once young talents of the school, now as mature musicians in concert, followed by getting to know them as educators in a public course. Don't miss this opportunity to witness the musical growth of these talented artists!
