$#$ Remember the Memorial Park of the Great Patriotic War Heroes in Krasnodar? Looks like it's getting a facelift! This iconic spot, nestled at the crossroads of Sovietskaya and Lenin Streets in Elizavetinskaya Stanitsa, rose to the top during a nationwide vote for improvement projects set to commence in 2026.

Over 63,000 enthusiastic votes were cast for this public space, outshining other contenders. The makeover will unfold under the "Infrastructure for Life" national project in 2026.

Coming in a close second was the "Turgenev" park with over 33,000 votes, while a public area adjacent to Karasunsky Pond No.4 garnered 20,500 votes.

In a heartfelt message, the head of Krasnodar, Yevgeny Naumov, acknowledged the residents' active participation in the voting process. He wrote on his Telegram channel, "Your engagement is truly appreciated. This year, we're beefing up the Chepiga Park and introducing some major changes to the Shalyapin Boulevard under this national project."

Since 2017, Krasnodar has seen the creation or refurbishment of 21 public spaces within its urban center[5].

$#$ But there's a catch: despite the buzz surrounding the park's renovation, no official confirmation or announcement regarding the Memorial Park of the Great Patriotic War Heroes' 2026 renovation plan can be found[1]. Other search results focus on different matters such as maritime issues and regional economic developments[2][3]. Keep an eye out for more official announcements!
