Upcoming Music Event to Invade Klyde Warren Park
On this coming Saturday, May 31, Dallas' Klyde Warren Park will welcome the inaugural Choctaw Cover-to-Cover Music Festival. This event will bridge the Uptown area with the downtown core of the city.
At the heart of the festivities, eight cover bands will take to the stage, treating audiences to a plethora of beloved tracks from artists as diverse as Taylor Swift, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, and Tom Petty. Alongside the live music, attendees can sample offerings from food trucks, indulge in drinks, participate in various games, and explore the Boho Market, which offers handmade jewelry, home goods, art, and more from 20 local vendors. For seating, participants are encouraged to bring blankets or low-profile lawn chairs.
Funds raised from the event will support Klyde Warren Park, ensuring the park remains clean, safe, and abuzz with free activities year-round. Among these activities are concerts and fitness classes, as highlighted by Kit Sawers, the park's president and CEO.
"Every park event is a joy to witness because it brings together so many different individuals to enjoy a shared experience," said Sawers. "Klyde Warren Park has become synonymous with Dallas' town square."
The Barley House restaurant and bar near Southern Methodist University collaborated in selecting the lineup of cover bands. The carefully curated lineup aims to cater to a wide range of tastes.
When asked about ideal attendees, Kit Sawers responded, "Whether you're a music lover, a supporter of Klyde Warren Park, or simply seeking a fun outdoor experience to usher in summer, you should consider joining us."
The festival will take place from 1:00 PM to 7:30 PM within Klyde Warren Park, located at 2012 Woodall Rodgers Fwy, Dallas. Advance tickets are available for purchase at $35 for general admission and $125 for VIP access. General admission prices will increase to $50 at the gate.
