Upcoming Music Event: Bremen Festival 2025
The Bremen Music Festival 2025 is gearing up for an unforgettable night of music, with the event "A Grand Night of Music" scheduled for August 16th. Here's a sneak peek at some of the performances and venues that you can look forward to.
In the Upper Hall of Bremen Town Hall, the Il Pomo d'Oro ensemble, under the baton of Maxim Emelyanychev, will perform a selection of Baroque music. The ensemble's repertoire will range from classical to jazz in various unusual venues throughout the festively lit city center.
Les Musiciens du Louvre, a French original sound orchestra, will perform at the Glocke, led by Marc Minkowski and featuring Eugénie Jonieu, Cyrille Dubois, and Jean-Sébastien Bou. Their programme includes works by Georges Bizet and Jacques Offenbach.
The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio from Seattle will bring their unique blend of jazz, soul, funk, and R&B to the courtyard of the University of the Arts.
The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, under the direction of Tõnu Kaljuste, will perform in St. Petri Dom. Their set list includes music by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Arvo Pärt.
For those who can't make it to the live performances, Bremen Two will collaborate with Deutschlandfunk Kultur for a live broadcast from four concerts during the festival. The live broadcast will air on FM 88.3 MHz in Bremen and 95.4 MHz in Bremerhaven, and will also be available via digital radio, satellite, cable, live stream in the ARD Audiothek, and on www.bremenzwei.de, from 19:05 to 23:00.
