Bergisch Gladbach, Germany - The runoff election for the position of Mayor of Bergisch Gladbach is set to take place on September 28, 2025. Alexander Felsch (CDU) and Marcel Kreutz (SPD) are the two candidates vying for the position.
Voting will be conducted at designated polling stations, following the same voter registry as the main election held on September 14, 2025. The voting offices will be open from Monday, September 22, to Thursday, September 25, 2025, daily from 10:00 to 18:00, except it will close on the Friday before the election at 15:00. On the election day, polling stations will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
To vote, you will need your ID card or your voting permit. It is important to note that third parties cannot be entrusted with your vote, as it is a personal vote.
If you did not check the box for receiving the materials for the runoff election, you can go to your respective voting or voting office with your ID card to cast your vote. On the other hand, if you have already requested vote-by-mail materials for the runoff election, you cannot vote directly unless you did not check the box for receiving the materials for the runoff election when you requested vote-by-mail for September 14.
Those who wish to request vote-by-mail for the runoff election for the first time can do so via this link or by mail. New voting notifications will not be sent for the runoff election. If you checked the box, you will automatically receive the voting materials by mail.
For those travelling before the election, it's crucial to note that if your vote-by-mail materials do not reach you in time before your departure, the election office cannot search for them.
